Widevine Will Not Install
I have been trying to watch Netflix on Firefox, I made some security changes and at first thought that I may have caused the problem, but now I see that the add-on just fails to install. It just keeps the notification that it is installing. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Do you see a XHR request in the Browser Console ?
Are you using a VPN or proxy or do you have security software that could be blocking this request ?

hello Yossin,
follow the instruction and link:
Wow, this is a great question. I can't think of any built-in setting in Firefox for this, but I see you can make some adjustments in your Netflix account settings

Try to toggle DRM off/on to see if that makes Firefox (re)load DRM components.
- Options/Preferences -> General: Play DRM
- https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/enable-drm
You should see a XHR request in the Browser Console for the Widevine plugin when you toggle DRM off/on, so you can check the console to see if there is an issue reported.
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
- https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Tools/Browser_Console
So I attempted to see if any issues are reported but none show up. I have tried toggling it many times to no avail. In the plugin menu, there is a yellow banner that states "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc. will be installed shortly." I have also toggled with it to see if it would fix the issue. I have also reinstalled Firefox and the problem persists.

So, I had to toggle while my VPN was off. Thank you guys for the assistance!

I have the same problem. I am not using a VPN but the widevine plugin never installs. I have been waiting for almost 2 weeks now.
Did you check the Browser Console for the request to retrieve the Widevine plugin like I wrote above?
You can toggle DRM off and on again to generate a new request.
- Options/Preferences -> General: Play DRM
