Hello, this is for Firefox on Android. I accidentally cleared all of my data recently and lost everything, fortunately I always kept my sync settings up to date, but to my dismay, when syncing passwords, only a handful of them showed up. I'm at a loss at what to do, I had a lot of important login information on there that I have no way of getting back. Some of them were e-mail address passwords that I'd need to even get any password reset e-mails. Is there anything I can do? Thank you in advance.

Apologies, I can't find an edit option. It appears the logins are all from my mother's computer for some reason, I'm not sure how that happened, and I haven't used Firefox on PC in ages. I just wanted it to sync with the Android data which is what I've been using.

Hi

Thank you for your question about the Firefox Sync service.

It appears from your question, that you are using Firefox Sync as a back up service. This is not what Sync is designed to do. The Firefox Sync service takes a copy of the data you wish to include and transfers it to a second device (typically a mobile device such as a tablet or a telephone) running a copy of Firefox. The storage in between all attached devices is both temporary and fragile and is not stable enough to be (and is not designed as) a reliable backup service.

If you have a copy of your Firefox profile for desktop Firefox, you may be able to recover your bookmarks and other data. Please have a read of this article.

If you have a copy of your data on a mobile version of Firefox, please follow these instructions to connect it to Firefox Sync to copy your data.

Ahh, that makes sense, my mistake, I should have figured. Thanks for the heads up. Yeah, I'll see if I can find an old copy of my data and go from there. This can be closed now or whatever.
