How to COPY (not move) email from IMAP inbox to Local Folder and leave all emails on server?
Hi,
I'm using the same IMAP account on 2 computers. On both computers there are auto moving emails from Inbox to Local Folders. After move to Local Folders emails are deleted on server (IMAP synchronization...), because they not exist in inbox on computer.
I have a problem: 1st computer receive emails > then move it to local folder > then delete it on server. 2nd computer will not receive this emails (it's receive it only when both computers are running)
I don't want to delete any emails from server.
Maybe the solution is to COPY (not MOVE) email from Inbox to Local Folder? How to solve it?

Are you using a Message Filter to do this ? If yes, then do not 'Move' them, use 'Copy' instead.
- 'Menu icon' > 'Message Filters'
- 'Filters for': choose the name of mail account
- select the filter name and click on 'Edit'
- Under 'Perform these actions'
- Select 'Copy Message to' and choose the appropriate Local Folders folder.
- click on 'OK'
I do not configure any filters, but there is one filter with MOVE - I change it to COPY. Now checking how it work. Thanks.
Is it possible to set COPY Sent emails from IMAP account to Local Folders AND LEAVE it in Sent folder in IMAP account?
Have you considered using POP, then the mail does not need to be copied or moved? I see so many people using the wrong protocol and building elaborate solutions to make it do what the other does natively. If you use pop I suggest you check that the setting in account settings is set to leave messages on the server.
Other wise it will just do exactly what you want. You might also want to ensure your mail provider gives you enough quota to store all your mails forever on their server. Even Google limit your space. IT is a high limit, but folks are running into it.
