I've been experiencing this problem for that last couple of months,

Every time I try to play a video whatever the website maybe, It's like its stuttering on the video playback (Pause, Play 4Seconds, PAUSE, Play 4-Seconds, PAUSE, Play 4-Seconds, PAUSE)

I'm to the point that I'm just going to unistall & NEVER USE this browser.

EVERY website it does this (Youtube, News, Yahoo, Facebook) - IF there's a video on a website FIREFOX CAN NOT play it steady for longer then 4 seconds. I've CHECKED ALL SETTINGS

(Google Chrome, & Microsoft Edge) Play videos FINE.

MOZILLA FIREFOX 58+ is GARBAGE, CAN it not buffer the videos correctly OR whaT.

Hi, since Video is HTML5 please update or reinstall your Drivers as not enough information was shared to determine if this is the issue or not.

As this would also be a older system with 32bit it is wise to update all neglected drivers if possible.

VIDEO AUDIO

If nothings helps in the above : Please Start in Safe mode as again not enough information was shared to determine if Extensions or others on the below list are the issue : SAFE MODE

In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:

  • all extensions are disabled (about:addons)
  • default theme is used (no persona)
  • userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored (chrome folder)
  • default toolbar layout is used (file: localstore-safe.rdf)
  • Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (prefs: javascript.options.*jit)
  • hardware acceleration is disabled (Options > Advanced > General)
  • plugins are not affected
  • preferences are not affected

TEST''''is issue still there ? If so : Profile with all your settings and bookmarks and passwords in it.

Or can create a new Profile to see if existing one is the issue :

Its not my computer, or my Video driver (Chrome, MS-Explorer') play video just fine.

Firefox use to be my only browser, But for the last 6 months I've had to copy any video URL and play it in google chrome, As of today I'm uninstalling Firefox & don't plan on using it anymore or anytime in the near future. The only reason I've put-up with it for so long is because its the only one that had particular addons that I was use too using.

I've experienced this problem on multiple O.S.'s Windows 7 (64 Bit) Windows 10 (64 Bit) Linux (Ubuntu 16.04 32bit)

The video (plays for 3 seconds, stops for 2 seconds, plays for 3 seconds, stops for 2 seconds)

As stated above (Chrome, & MS-Edge) play videos just fine Firefox has gone down hill, Sorry but it has

Have a good evening
