Firefox crashed 4/9/17 on each start-up attempt, crash report window appeared however an error occurred therefore report could not be sent. Followed all instructions to the point of a clear reinstall but the crash occurred again at attempted start-up, with same experience regarding attempt to submit crash report. So removed Firefox again. I've no idea what to do next! Assistance would be appreciated, Thanks in anticipation.

What's your computer system and Firefox version?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Hi FredMcD, Thanks for your reply, I'm a novice at all this so bear with me. The system is Win XP and Firefox version 52.3, I'm now using Opera as a fall-back having reinstalled Firefox which still won't open, I keep getting the crash-report window which doesn't function. I followed your suggestions but still get the crash-report window which still doesn't function and Firefox doesn't restart...I may give up the ghost! Thanks again for your assistance.

Hi FredMcD, red faced with embarrassment here...I said I was a novice. Just learned that Firefox is no longer supporting Windows XP from September 2017. I think there is a new PC/OS in my immediate future! There's always a silver lining. :-)
