64-Bit version won't install on Win 7 machine
We have three Windows 7 Professional (64-bit OS) machines. I had no trouble installing latest 64-bit version of Firefox (53.0) on two of them. On third, double-clicking the same downloaded file produces only "unpacking," nothing else.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen or hold down the Shift key) to see if that works.

Hmm maybe try the full offline setup for Windows from www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/
Windows users downloading Firefox from www.mozilla.org are served a small online stub installer. Some antivirus and such scanners have had a issue with the stub installer since it existed as of Firefox 18.0.
Firefox 53.0 and later now has a new stub that can give users the option of 32-bit or 64-bit if they have 64-bit Windows 7 or later.
Sorry. This gave me the same 45,895K install exe as before, and the same non-result.

Safe mode W/ Network support did the trick. THANKS!
