When traveling, using my notebook computer, I usually read and delete most of the emails I receive. But for the few that I want to keep and read later at home on my desktop computer, what is the easiest way to save and then retrieve these emails?

I know I cans save these emails to a folder I can set up on my notebook computer and then it should be a simple task to copy that folder to a flash drive and then copy it from the flash drive to TB on my desktop computer. As I recall I've tried this in the past but for an unknown reason I couldn't make this work and I forget where in the process the difficulty arose.
Does anyone have any helpful suggestions?

If using IMAP just do not delete them. They remain on the server. If using POP set Thunderbird on the laptop to leave messages on the server and anything you do not delete will still be on the server when you get back home.
