IMAP messages remain on the server. Ask your provider to fix this. It is their servers.

Hi.. Pls understand my example.. There was a email by name [email protected] on OLD server. This was configured as imap account..

Now what hapoened exactly was the hosting provider was facing some issue with old server so hosting provider switched the website to new server and created new email ids.

The hosting provider also removed the complete hosting account from old server.

Now the old email id [email protected] stopped working as it was not finding old server.

Then we created a new imap email account [email protected] inside thunderbird by same email id of new server..

Now suddenly 2000+ old emails of old sever disappered. And it has now few 20 to 30 new emails of new server..

Now i am sure somewhere thunderbird is keeping backup..

How can i add those 2000+ emails by retriving from thunderbird backup and make it visible and working in thunderbird with my email id [email protected] of new server..

Pls guide as ... we are really expecting good support..

I will give you an example please try to understand what exactly is the issue..

I was having an email id [email protected] this was configured on a server this email ID was having more than 2000 + emails in the inbox of my thunderbird account.

My hosting provider informed as that the account www.adaptstudios.asia is giving some problem on old server so my hosting provider created the complete domain setup on a new server and he also created [email protected] on the new server.

He then gave us the password for [email protected] so that we configure the same account on Thunderbird.

We added this account on Thunderbird of the new server with the IMAP settings but then we noticed there were only knew 20 to 30 emails in the inbox and it was not showing the 2000 + emails of the old server in the inbox.

We really expect that Thunderbird must have saved somewhere in the local computer that 2000 + email please explain us how do we restore those 2000 + emails in our current inbox of [email protected].

I would really appreciate if you are support system helps us to retrive All the emails as they are very important to us and it will really help us for all our communication with all our clients

You can post this 4 times but it does not change the way IMAP email and the providers server works.

I will tell you again. Imap email messages are stored on the providers server. Thunderbird, or any other email client, views those messages remotely. It is up to you or your provider to make backups. Contact your provider about getting your messages off the old server.
