Hi
I have had a look into this and Firefox Sync does not work with Safari. If you want to import bookmark from Safari, you will need to:
- In Safari, open the File menu and choose Export Bookmarks. Save bookmarks.html somewhere handy.
- In Firefox, open the Bookmarks menu and choose Show All Bookmarks.
- In the Library window, click the Import and Backup button and choose Import Bookmarks from HTML.
With regards to the Sync password issue, you wish to have a look at this guide.
I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

I hate to disagree with you here about Sync not working with Safari. I have a new iPhone 7 with iOS 10 and all of a sudden my Firefox Bookmarks on the toolbars are the same as my Safari Bookmarks and I didn't do anything. When I deleted a bookmark on the task bar in Firefox and tapped Safari on the phone, the bookmarks I deleted on FF disappear from Safari. How do I stop this?
