Firefox used to have a simple, usable error console. Is there a way to make the new interface act in the same way? Since FF keeps removing features, it has become less and less usable. I just want to be able to see the same exact stuff that used to show up in the Error Console window without any extra information. I tried installing the Error Console add-on, but the code that it invokes seems to have been stripped out completely now. The Ctrl+Shift+J keyboard shortcut still opens the "browser console" which has a bunch of extra junk that doesn't pertain to the website I am trying to debug.

How can I make the browser console show me just errors or warnings thrown by the current browser tab?

Well, apparently there is no menu item for the Error Console add-on. I found a toolbar button for it in the customize window and it still opens exactly what I want, just without the keyboard shortcut. Hopefully it will continue to work as expected and FF won't rip it out completely like they did with the ability to open the options dialog in a separate window.
