Steps to reproduce:

1. Menu -> Customize 2. Drag some of the extra icons to the top right toolbar (next to the menu icon)

Now, some icons constantly keep disappearing. As a consequence, I need to re-add them quite regularly.

Why are some icons simply not staying at the location in the toolbar where I put them?

Thanks for your help!

You can try to click the "Restore Defaults" button in the Customize palette.

You can try to reset user the "browser.uiCustomization.state" on the about:config page via the right-click context menu to the default value in case there is a problem with the pref. This pref stores the toolbar customization is current releases.

If you keep having problems with preferences, see:

You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file.

It seems that the about:config trick helped.

Thank you!
