Start Firefox in Safe Mode to Troubleshoot the issue and to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Hi datdudeo, Sorry you are having problems with Firefox. These Crashes are related to FlashPlayer problems.

  1. I note you do not have the latest version of Flashplayer so update that then check it is working and the latest version by visiting the Adobe site
  2. You also have both FlashPlayer (Shockwave Flash 13.0 r0 ) and Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.0.2.122
You know what you installed and what is needed but ask yourself what you need The Director' plugin for,it is probably not needed and can be disable or uninstalled.
  3. Also consider trying with FlashPlayer's protected mode disabled, that involves making a simple edit to an Adobe config File. (Do it manually it is then easily reversible.) and sometimes fixes Flash Player problems See
  4. You may need to try additional steps
    1. Start Firefox in Firefox's safemode
Press andhold the Returnkey when starting,or use the menu options.
see Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode
    2. Ensure all plugins except FlashPlayer are disabled
      see Disable or remove Add-ons_how-to-disable-plugins
    3. Browse and use Flashlayer.
    4. If you have crashes in this configuration post the crash ID confirming you have done all of the above and still crashed.
Navigate to about:crashes and look for crash submitted reports with ID s starting bp-

Please report back with how you get on.

Note that the crash signatures show a problem with the Shockwave Flash plugin.

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
