I recently Removed a theme from the Add-On Manager, and was looking for a new one. I found one I liked, installed it, and restarted Firefox only to discover that it's still using the old theme that shouldn't exist on my computer anymore. It's not in the list of available Appearances, at least.

Is this a complete theme or a Persona (lightweight theme) to add a background to the toolbar area? https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Using+themes+with+Firefox

The data of all installed Personas and its background color and text color are stored in the lightweightThemes.usedThemes pref in JSON object format ({"id":"#","name":"xxx",...}).

The images of the currently selected Persona are stored in the lightweighttheme-header and lightweighttheme-footer files in the Firefox profile folder.

Try uninstall all themes and then reinstall again the theme that you wanted

where is the firefox profile folder? I have searched under program files/firefox and did not find any profile information for firefox.

I am having the exact same problem as the person whom you responded to.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)
  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

Note that the "AppData" folder in Windows Vista and later Window 7+ versions and the "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K are hidden folders.
