I go to a webpage that changes regularly. Is it possible to view what that page looked like on a certain day?

I use Mac OSX V 10.8.5 and FF 23.0.1

Firefox doesnt store full pages in cache, if it did that your harddrive would blow out.

Use google cache or archive.org for such

Sorry I wasn't specific enough. There is text that changes daily on the page I'm trying to get at. The rest of the page stays the same. It is the text of that particular page I'm trying to get to. It is an http page, not https, so I would think something should go into the cache.

I thought it was typical for image files to stay in cache of frequently visited pages, and I also thought the cache limit in pref's was what determined when old started going out, and new coming in.

I haven't used FF to visit the page again since I made the mistake of not taking a screen shot of the words I saw on the site that day.

I might also add that I've found history in about:cache, and wonder if that is where I need to look if I can find anything there.

Firefox doesn't keep multiple copies of a web page in the cache. As soon as you revisit a specific web page then the previous version in the disk cache is replaced if the URL is the same. You would need to check the page for changes and then save the current version.
