I have a problem that under unsorted bookmarks I have a complete mess which I dont think can be normal. When I selected Show All Bookmarks, I have Bookmarks (BM) Toolbar, BM Menu and Unsorted BM. Within Unsorted BM, I then have a repeat folder of BM ToolBar x2 (both look identical), BM Menu and then ANOTHER folder of unsorted bookmarks x2.

This happens recursively, so in that bottom level unsorted BM I have the ENTIRE tree again. This goes on apparently forever.

This cant be normal and wonder if this is a bug that anyone else has come across?

Thanks,

Will

It sounds like along the way somewhere you mistakenly caused duplicates of your existing bookmarks. If you haven't already please see the following:

Problems with bookmarks and history not working properly can be caused by a corrupted places.sqlite database file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
