Do you mean that you no longer see the Navigation Toolbar with the Back and Forward button?
No,All navigation is there .The back arrow or button is just blank so i cant get back to home page. For example if i start of on my yahoo and go check mail then it blanks and i am stuck in mail as if it were my home page.
I have a similar problem. It just started a few days ago. The first page in any tab disappears from the history list. Whether it is the first tab or the Nth tab (largest N tested = 5) the result is the same. Whether first page in a tab is opened after creating a blank tab, or if the tab is created by OPEN LINK IN NEW TAB; once a second (and subsequent) page is opened I can't return to the first page.
After the third page in a tab is opened the GO BACK button highlights (is no longer grayed out). Right clicking on the GO BACK button or clicking on the down arrow shows every page but the first one. The attached screen shot portion shows two pages in the history. The first page opened in the tab was http://my.yahoo.com/, which should be on the bottom of the list displayed.
Returning to the second page opened in the history list causes the GO BACK button to gray out again. There is no way to return to the first page opened. Being unable to return to my home page is quite frustrating.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

OK, the problem has gone away. Firefox automatically updated my version to 3.6.16 today and I no longer have the problem. The first page is again at the bottom of the list of pages in the session history. I was going to download a new copy of Firefox and reload it to see if that fixed it, but before I got around to it, the new version of Firefox was installed. Voila. Either I had a bad previous upgrade or they fixed it in the most recent version.
I noticed that there is a new version 4 of Firefox. I'll probably upgrade to that too.
I fixed this problem as well as safe mode stuck with just changing my new keyboard that caused all these problems.
Have you recently bought a new cheap keyboard like me? perhaps that is the problem.
Hope you fix your problem too!
