Firefox is running x 8 in my task manager at the moment. Why does it keep multiplying and slowing down my computer? I am almost ready to uninstall Firefox. If I merely need to revert to an earlier version of Firefox, please let me know how to do that. Thank you. Shannon

That's normal, the number of processes is less important than what they are doing. You can get more details in Firefox by pressing Shift+Esc. The easiest way to streamline modern websites is to install uBlock Origin.
