Page not found: Cannot access jacobzhong.org, directed to Avast Real Site search instead only in Firefox

I've recently set up my personal website on Github Pages, reserved a domain with Google Domains, and routed all traffic through Cloudflare. (The site is jacobzhong.org) On all other browsers I tested (Google Chrome, Google Chrome Canary, Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer), I was able to type the URL "jacobzhong.org" into the URL bar and access my site.

However, in Firefox, even after clearing my cache, disabling Avast, and restarting my computer, I am greeted with the attached screenshot when I type in "jacobzhong.org" into the URL. The link in the purple box goes to https://help.avast.com/en/av_free/17/securitysecuredns.html, so I contacted Avast first. They were unable to identify the problem and suspected that the problem was with Firefox instead.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

@PKShadow Forgot I had Flash, going to uninstall that after this kerfuffle gets sorted.

I am indeed running Avast (forgot to specify that), but I disabled HTTPS scanning as part of my own troubleshooting process, and it has not helped my particular issue. I have added my site to Avast's exclusions list.

While testing I've discovered that typing exactly "https://www.jacobzhong.org" allows me to reach my site unhindered; other iterations of that URL fail to work. I suppose I'll just need to use that URL for testing for now.

Separate Security Issue, please update your Flash 28.0 r0 by removing it with this tool : https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html If you use it Reinstall with Flash Player Version: 30.0.0.134 Current Version https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ Step 1: Select Operating System Step 2: Select A Version (Firefox, . . . .) Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only>

Are you running Avast ?

There is security software like Avast/AVG, Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate or create havoc. If you are running any of the above software please check their community forum for a work around to apply settings.

Hi, that would be your Website Provider as there is certificates that need to be loaded for redirection to your HTTPS address foe when people just type name or use HTTP.

So something is missing.

Alright, I suspected as much. I'll go and ask around. Thanks so much!

If there is no interference, Firefox will usually display a server not found error in that case. The search results page has an Avast logo on it, so that aspect of the issue may be a feature of Avast.

Anyway, it seems to be working correctly now.
