I recently had to restart my Macbook Pro because Finder became non-responsive. When opening up Thunderbird and attempting to respond to an email - the text of the received mail displayed properly in the lower pane, but when the window to compose the reply opens up, it is blank, i.e., no display of received mail. When I try to type, nothing shows up. But if I move away from the write window and then come back, both the received text and the reply text is there. But: attempting to type again shows nothing in the display. Many thanks in advance for help!

Addendum two: problem resolved - sort of. I closed the main window - mail and newsgroups - while in full screen / second desktop mode; and then reopened it in the primary desktop. Everything seems to be working normally now. Just very peculiar!

Addendum: this seems to have something to do with having opened up Thunderbird in full-screen mode - and then shifting back. That is, when occupying full screen (on a second desktop), everything works properly: received text is displayed as is text I type. But when moving the Thunderbird application back to the main desktop, the problem reappears.
