How can I get rid of an unwanted pop up from https://usaemeventualmillionaire.com?
An ugly orange pop up covering my entire screen comes up often - without my hitting any keys in error. It says it is firefox-patch.js. The line below it says JavaScript File 6.4KB. The third line shows the http address I gave above. I don't trust this. For all I know, it could be a virus or some sort of malware. As far as I know, I do not need it or want it. It will come up when I am in the middle of doing something else, and I have to close the page to get out of it. If it continues, I will be using some other browser.
Does anyone have any clues?
Thank you!

Yes, GrammaLynne, it is malware!
It is generally believed that you get to those pages through advertisements on popular websites. You don't even need to click the ad, it could trigger automatically or when you run your mouse over it.
If you do not already use an add-on to reduce the number of ads you see in web pages, this might be the time to try one. This one is popular:

Thank you, Sir! What you've said makes total sense to me, because even just running the mouse over an ad or something on my way to something else could trigger that. I'm very thankful I somehow had the sense not to click into it, or figure that I needed it for some reason. I do run MalwareBytes and Windows Defender, but I have also added the program you suggested to reduce the ads. This will probably be helpful in many ways. Thanks again!
