Emails are disappearing, randomly moving to other folders, etc.
For no apparent reason, emails that were in my inbox yesterday, are not showing up in the inbox today. They do show up in results of a search. Just an hour ago I was able to find one via the search, and play the attached music file. But now, though they still show up in the search, the message is gone when I click on it. (It's almost as if the search results are cached... they don't reflect current reality?)
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Yes, I saw this page. Frankly I'm confused by their suggestions. Starting at the beginning: "Check to make sure that "View -> Messages" and "View -> Threads" are both set to "All"." -- I have no "Messages" option under View! Threads, OK... yes it's set to all.
The other suggestions don't really fit. As I said, they were here yesterday, they have seemingly just disappeared today. When I get my messages online (Verizon netmail) they are all there.

Simply ignore that part.

Why not?

Please confirm your account type - POP or IMAP?
Thanks for your reply. It's a POP type account. The emails reappeared yesterday... I don't know why. It's possible that I had something checked or unchecked in a search box? Just a guess... As far as I know it was just 4 messages from the same sender, each with a fairly large attachment. I'll check back with you folks if this happens again. Thanks again.
