Websites Flag Firefox as very old version
I keep getting notifications from certain web sites that my Firefox is an old, out of date version. Finally, the CarMax website gave me the same message, noting that my version was 32. I have 47.0.1. I’ve had similar (but less helpful) such messages on Facebook and YouTube.
When I deactivate all of my plug-ins, the message goes away on CarMax but still appears in YouTube and Facebook. YouTube note:

I'm using Win10 on a late model Alienware desktop.
Thoughts? And can anyone tell me what this information from YouTube means?
Thanks.

hi, your useragent (the information the browser sends to websites to identify its version) - apparently mistakenly - shows you're on firefox version 32. probably some sort of toolbar or adware has overwritten it.
please refer to this article in order to reset the user-agent settings in firefox: How to reset the default user agent on Firefox
afterwards please also run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well. Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware

"WTB" makes me think one of your toolbar-related extensions might be polluting your user agent. Do any of those start with a W?
You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted or unknown extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. All extensions are optional. If in doubt, disable.
Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Hopefully that will help prevent the problem from recurring in the future.
Thanks to all. I solved it with the "Websites say that Firefox is outdated or incompatible even though it's the latest version" from philipp above. Weird.
