Well, today I reinstall my system (I'm using Arch Linux.)

I install a firefox and then I try to sync my data (I have a lot of bookmarks, my password, and my history.)

But I forgot my account password! So I try to change my password. I received the Email, and I finished chandge my massword.

Then I try to sync again. I did it but noting happened! I think that is firefox's problem so I just wait, I think that this problem will be solved tomorrow.

Unfortunately, This afternoon I add some bookmarks. And now I try to sync again. Sync worked! But still noting happend. I fell some scared. I try to delete all of the bookmarks that I've just added and logout. Then I sync again and...My bookmarks that I've just added backed all! But I lost my all before data.

These data were very important. How could I found them?

Unfortunately if you don't have a backup of that data on a CDR or flash stick your data is gone, unless you can recover it using a data recovery program like Recuva - or whatever the Linux equivalent is.

Sorry, but when you request a new password for Sync the data on the server is deleted. The original password was the basis of the encryption "key" which was used to encrypt your data as it was being sent to the Sync server; different password prevents Firefox from being able to decrypt your data when it returns to the device.

The thing is that Sync was never intended to be a "cloud" for Firefox personal data storage for one device. Its intended purpose is to synchronize data among multiple devices. And if the user runs into what you did - couldn't remember their password and needed to set a new password - Sync would replace the deleted data from the other device that still had the data - the device that hadn't been "reinstalled".

Hey, I found my old password on a notebook. So if I change my password to my old password then I will found my data?

No, once you change the password then all data stored on the Sync server is cleared and lost for good.

Wasn't there a warning about this when you changed the password?

Here is a good news: I found a backup in my other comptuer just now. It's looks like a little old, but that's enough.

Thanks everyone, next time I'll pay attention to every warning and always make a backup.
