I have been scratching my head for 4 months. Why doesn't Firefox play videos on YouTube? I have read dozens of threads about this problem and NOT ONE SINGLE thread has mentioned a solution that works.

Seriously Firefox, get it together and let me watch videos. I really hate using Chrome and Explorer.

Before you rattle off some nonsense about having me delete cookies or reset Firefox, please know that these are not solutions. If they were, I wouldn't waste my time asking this question. This is so incredibly stupid. Just design Firefox to play video.

YouTube has two options, the built-in HTML5 video player or Flash, and both of those should work for you on YouTube with Windows 7. If your current player isn't working, try switching using this page:

https://www.youtube.com/html5

If neither of those will work for you, could you describe how the problem manifests? For example, black rectangle, endless loading, crash, etc.
