Hi,

I am using the newest version of FireFox on Mac and most days when I use Twitch.tv, the site will stop functioning and requires a Force Quit. It happens whenever I browse through the pages and the site must load videos. I have attempted uninstalling & reinstalling. Other OS' works fine.

Anyone know how to solve this?

moderator edited the title of this thread to get rid of the word "crashing" as Firefox is being forced to close by the user - it's not crashing

Hi Waka_Flocka_Flame,

I have no crash reports, as I have to Force Quit (Mac Option) as the browser freezes.

Best Regards

Ok, how about trying safe mode, possibly your problems are caused by Firefox's use of Hardware acceleration or a addon, see the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article for more.

I have the same problem, I've tried to disable hardware acceleration and launch Firefox in safe mode (with all extensions turned off). Bug still there.

Simpliest way to reproduce - got to http://www.twitch.tv/ and start turning channels: enter one game, view few channels, than press link to main page, than pick another game, it usually need less than 10 clicks to get this freeze. After browser freezed, nothing work at all - menu clicks do nothing, unable to switch tabs, or do anything, only OS X "Force Quit" feature works.

Firefox 23.0.1, OS X 10.8.4, iMac mid-2011 with 12Gb RAM

i think a work-around is to always open Twitch VODS and streams in a new window
