When I open a new tab the page is blank suddenly. there used to be 9 little windows which were nice hot links to my most visited sites. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and anything else I can think of. How can I get them functioning again?

Try to use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension only runs once and then uninstalls automatically, so it won't show on the "Firefox > Add-ons" page (about:addons).

If you have the new tab page (about:newtab) then it is possible that you've hidden the nine grid and in that case you can click the 3x3 grid icon in the top right corner or alternatively reset the browser.newtabpage.enabled pref on the about:config page to its default value true.

Thank you so much, I ran that first link as you suggested, then my 9 little windows popped up. I didn't have them hidden via the little grid button, they were just turned off or something.

Thank you, you guys rock!
