I read that in order to keep my bookmarks and settings from Firefox before I uninstalled it that I needed to copy the 8 figure files over to IE, which I did. I uninstalled then reinstalled Firefox but cannot figure out how to restore those files from IE back to Firefox.

Hey my77raisins,

I think you are looking for the KB article Import Bookmarks and other data from Microsoft Edge. That should give you all the information you need to get everything out of IE and back in Firefox.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the quick and accurate reply, Matt! :)

I think I now understand what I did wrong. That doesn't mean I know how to fix it though. LOL I didn't save those files to the right place in IE so using those instructions you showed me isn't helping. Could you tell me what I need to do next? (Sadly, I used to be able to fix these issues myself... not anymore.)

Did you remove your personal data when you uninstalled Firefox?

If you did the all Firefox profiles were removed, so if you didn't back your bookmarks and other data then they are lost.
