I had an automatic update of firefox installed (version 7.0.1) now it seems that when browsing to websites it lags and/or hangs. Is there a fix like another update or patch for this?
I have gone to multiple different websites and with the new version installed, it seems to hang when the webpage is loading. The status indicator says it's connecting.

The default of the pref network.http.max-connections has been increased from 30 to 256 in Firefox 6+ versions.
You can try to decrease the value of the pref network.http.max-connections from 255 to a more modest setting like 30 as used in Firefox 3 versions.
