FF 6.02 on a Mac Pro 10.6.6 and only since updating to FF 6 has this happened. Seems to be lots of sites: Verizon, GoDaddy, and many others. Any ideas?

Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

I don't know how to reload the website. I have clicked in the URL and pressed enter while holding down "CMD+shift+R" but nothing happens. Do I need to do it another way?

Did you try Save mode?

You can try to disable IPv6 to see if that helps.
