BOOKMARKS in WINDOWS 7 PRO

more options

On my home tower PC, the Bookmarks appear on the left side of the screen (WINDOWS 7 HOME PREMIUM. On my laptop PC, when FIREFOX updated to the latest version in the past several months, the Bookmarks no longer appear on the left side of the screen immediately when I open FIREFOX. In order to see the Bookmarks, I have to click on a small icon at the upper right hand corner of the screen. Then, the Bookmarks appear on the right side of the screen. I have been through all the items in the Settings screen, checked each subheading for any item pertaining to moving the Bookmarks to the LEFT side, but have found nothing. I first checked your knowledge base, and while it reported 2 responses, neither one of them correctly addressed this particular problem. Please help.

Chosen solution

Hi, I think you are referring to the Bookmarks Sidebar. You can open that using Ctrl+B. If you still have it open at the time you exit out of Firefox, that usually is remembered for the next session.

To switch the sidebar from left to right, click the Bookmarks heading to open a menu when you can choose that. (In your case, it would say Move Sidebar to Left.)

Ref. Use the Firefox Sidebar to access bookmarks, history and synced tabs
