For years, I have drafted text in a Word Document, and then copied it into an outgoing e-mail. In the last few weeks, when I do that, the first few characters, maybe just one, do not show up on the screen. Also sometimes the last few characters. Thunderbird recipients receive it with the same problem. I don't know about other recipients, except in aol and gmail, it appears fine. Any thoughts anyone?

When you copy from Word, are you doing a direct Paste (Ctrl+V) or Paste Without Formatting (Ctrl+Shift+V) into TB? Does the latter eliminate the missing characters?

Many thanks. Yes Ctrl+Shift+V solves the problem.

Mind you, I had used plain Ctrl+V for years without a problem.

Thanks again.
