I tried exporting from gmail as a csv and then importing to TB but all I get is the user full name and first name, nothing else? What is the secret for doing this with the most recent TB release 68.3.1?

Chosen solution

most CSV issues are about folks not aligning the import fields with the appropriate names in the importer, so the data is not mapped across correctly. Lots of fiddly uping and downing to get say email address data aligned on both sides of the import list.

Why not just sync the stuff. Most folks do it that way.

Export from Gmail Contacts as a vCard instead and import that to TB.

Using gcontactsync was the answer.
