Hello! I have an old computer with Windows XP and using Firefox ESR (v38). Due to low specs of my computer playing online videos is really crazy! I using IDM add-on on my Firefox to download online videos but I googling for a way to prevent playing/loading videos while IDM detect them to download!! Can you help me that there is any tweak or add-on for this job? Computer specs: Athlon XP 1500+ (pre-SSE2) and 1.5GB RAM Regards unkn0wn

Flash block {web link} Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it

You can set this pref to false on the about:config page to prevent Firefox from playing media files via the HTML5 media player.

  • media.play-stand-alone = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
