Why does sync force my theme to change?

Hi!

I have sync enabled to sync bookmarks, addons, and preferences between computers.

Recently I changed the theme on a single computer and only want that theme on that single computer. If I restart the browser on another computer it uses that theme, which is not desired.

How do I modify my sync configuration so my active theme is not forced to all other machines I want to sync with, but still sync all my addons and preferences?

Is this even possible?

Thanks for your assistance!

Chosen solution

Is this about a lightweight theme (Persona) to style the user interface area?

You can set specific services.sync.prefs.sync.* prefs to false on the about:config page to prevent syncing the related pref.

  • services.sync.prefs.sync.lightweightThemes.selectedThemeID

This was perfect. The change propagated through sync and was immediately noticeable. Thank you!
