Chosen solution

Firefox requires a phone with Open GL 2.0 support. Some older phones like the HTC Wildfire only support Open GL 1.0.

If you would like to check what Open GL support your phone has install Quadrant Standard Edition.

  • After installing run the app
  • Select "System Information"
  • Select the "Graphics" tab (Two mountains in a box)
  • Check the GPU (Open GL) version number
  • If it is 1.0 Firefox won't run on the device

See the screenshot for additional help.
