I tried to download the new firefox 5.0, for Mac OS10

when I put it into the application folder the error message showed up:

libsmime3.dylib is in use and would not allow new version to replace old

I have restarted the computer several times and still the same

I was able to fix this by uninstalling the previous version:

1. Go to Applications folder (Shift-Cmd-A) 2. Delete Mozilla Firefox application (Cmd-delete) 3. Now drag Firefox 5 into Applications folder.

I found this blog post when trying to look up that error. Looks like a common cause of the error is programs like Evernote, Dropbox or Cisco's AnyConnect VPN Client. Try disabling those (the blog post has instructions) if a simple delete/replace doesn't help.
