FF does not print all of web pages, e.g. cutting a FF support page in the middle of the first picture

I have followed all the steps in the Mozilla support pages for printers, including editing prefs.js in my profile. Still, for example, the FF support page, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/fix-printing-problems-firefox , is cut off in the middle of the word "Library" in the first pic under Check Firefox page settings, and the rest of the multi-page site does not print out at all. I also had print omissions of parts of web pages earlier today with a financial site, and that had nothing to do with pictures. Someone, I think on FF Support, once told me that FF was never intended as a full service browser, and so printing is a weak spot, apparently around page transitions in printing. True? If true, will that ever likely change? I would like to use only FF for security reasons, but I often have to use other browsers for printing, and it would be great if I could just stay on FF.

Chosen solution

Printing is a weak spot, but it probably is because there is too much other important work to do and the printing bugs never got top priority.

Unfortunately, certain kinds of layout create blocks of content Firefox treats as "unbreakable" -- they simply run off the bottom of the page they start on.

I run into this all the time, and created an add-on to help work around it. Unfortunately, using the add-on makes the sidebar take up excess space on the printout (according to Print Preview). <sad face>

At some point I probably need to add a tool to remove sidebars, but for elaborate pre-printing page modifications, there already is a very comprehensive extension available.

Very helpful. Not sure if it solves the problem, but likely the best possible answer for now. I wish responses could be classified in three ways: Solves problem, helpful partial answer, and does not solve.
