I have Mozilla 55.0.3 and I need to stop it from updating. Everything I can find in Mozilla help says that there's a section for updating on the general page of options but there isn't on mine. The only things on the general Options page are Startup, Downloads, Tabs, and Performance. Nowhere in there is there a place that lists the options for updating. So can anyone please help me? I really don't want any of the newer versions of Mozilla.

It is there. try this : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1003777

Why not go to a supported browser that gets security updated ? 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
