How can I get my address book to go by Names in lieu of addresses?
I have no idea how it happened, but when I write a new email, my address books are now being listed primarily by email addresses in lieu of the name of the person to whom I am sending an email. The names are there but they are not in the primary alphabetical listing arrangement when I want to select someone to whom to send an email. I have to go down the entire list to find the people some of the time. It is possible to input the person's name and hit enter, but some names are not ones that I use a lot and have to find them. When they were in alphabetical order down the first column it made it so much easier. Can that be done again??? Thanks, Ellen Lohmeyer [email protected]

Try clicking on the header labeled NAME in the Contact Sidebar. Clicking any header sorts on that column. Clicking the same header a second time reverses the sort. There is a small pointer on the sorted column header.

Open your address book. Tools (Alt-T) - Address Book
In the Address Book window: View - Sort by - Name
When I want to write/send an email it still comes up using the email addresses in lieu of the names. Is tried doing the Address Book - view and sort by name twice, but it did not change for writing/sending emails. The address book itself is right, but the one for addressing an email is not. What do I do now? Thank you for trying...hopefully it will be cleared up soon. Ellen Lohmeyer
