I just upgraded to FF12 from FF3. The 12 websites in the most frequently visited from the address bar list drop down (the list when you click the down arrow in the location bar) are in a different order than they were under FF3. I'm trying to get the order back so my most used site is first, but no matter how many times I go to a particular site from that list, the order won't update.

You can make the visit count column visible to check the current visit count of sites that you see in most visited sites. Click the header of the visit count column to sort the entries by visit count.

I made the visit column visible in the History and clicked to sort by number of visits. That didn't have any effect on the 12 sites in the drop down of the location bar though. The first one listed is my 4th most visited, then 8th most, then 1st, 3rd, 2nd, 18th, etc...

Do you mean the suggestions that you get when you start typing or do you mean the arrow at the far right of the location bar that opens the drop down list with sites that you've typed in the location bar?

The latter drop down list with typed entries is usually harder to correct as you can only remove sites in that list via the delete key, assuming that you haven't bookmarked them.

I'm sorry that I didn't make the question clear, wasn't really sure what the terminology was. I mean the drop down list when you click the arrow at the right of the location bar with the sites that you've typed the most into the location bar. In FF3 it would order those sites based on how often I visited them when typing them or clicking in the drop down. After changing to FF12 the order got all messed up, no matter how many times I visit the sites as before it won't reorder
