Firefox adds "search.php" to the end of a URL and won't load the site
Sometimes when I try to load a site, it adds "search.php" to the end of the URL (so ilikemovies.com becomes ilikemovies.com/search.php no matter what I type). I've tried other browsers on my computer and the website works fine. So I deleted all my cookies and uninstalled then re-installed the new version of Firefox. Everything was working fine for a time, but then certain sites just wouldn't load again, adding "search.php" again. What should I do?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.
