after I've closed Firefox and try to re-open it, it'll say it's already running. Have had to re-boot my computer several times a day to get it running again. HELP!!!!

This is a problem that I've been experiencing for the last month. After I've had Firefox open and then close it, when I try to re-open it, it says it's already running, but I have to re-boot my computer to get it going again. I have had to re-boot 5 times just today alone. What's up with that, and how can it be fixed??!!
