Hello Davies.

I don't have specific knowledge about what to do when this happens, but I believe if you download the latest version from getfirefox.com and install it over your current version, it should work perfectly fine.

license file could not be found, ff 3.6.8

Hi Anonimo, Solved the problem with a little free program called Secunia PS!. It did the scan and told me to update Firefox and that I could download from there. Did that and everything on Firefox downloaded and installed no problem. This program is also very useful for updating other programs as well. Elizabeth

3.6.7 keeps bombing out without a trace then get this cryptic message when attempting upgrade to 3.6.8.

Windows 7 problem ?

The only thing that worked for me was to download Firefox 3,6,8 from the Program PSI which is www,secunia.com. If you look on google It will give you all the info you need to instal this small free program which is very useful for updating etc. Try it out,Elizabeth.

Worked when I used Chrome to download 3.6.8 setup from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/.../releasenotes/ then 'Run as admin' on W7

hmmmmmmm

It can also help if you delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox) before installing a new full Firefox copy.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Standard_diagnostic_-_Firefox#Clean_reinstall

It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that are locked in any way. You can skip the step to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue.
