My old same tabs open over and over again each day even though i have closed them!! I lost all my most current tabs and haven't been able to get current tabs even though I ask to restore current tabs I got very old ones. they are lost. I just want it to stop loading the same old tabs that I close each day I have to close 16 tabs. leaving only one tab open then close Firefox. then restart my pc and the same very old tabs come up each time. I have done this at least 10 times. I eventually tried to restore history of one tab opened to try to get something different -- when I closed my browser I only had one tab open. I have been having this problem since I tried to pin some tabs about a week ago and I have been having this problem since. Please help! I need a lot of support.

I took care of it. I unchecked and checked tabs and restarted a number of times and now I am getting only current. And cleaned cashe,... weird cause I did before. Solved though. I don't know how to delete my question.

That was very good work. Well Done. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem as this can help others with similar problems. Go to that post and click the 'Solved' button to its right.

Not Resolved!! When I close all my tabs completely in Firefox, the old tabs all come back again!!!!! It happened again. I just wanted to keeps things tidy until I could trust I won't lose my work searching on the internet. Whatever updates could have happened, it seems to have corrupted tabs maybe. After I Iearned that I could pin a couple of tabs and did so --it went downhill then it seems. Please can you fix? I want to go back about two weeks ago when I did not have problems of the old duplicating tabs. Thanks, I hope this helps. Please see my original post for more info.

You may have corrupt sessionstore [v56] sessionstore.jsonlz4 file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

Don't delete the files if you need to rescue any data from them, just move them out of the profile folder to some location where Firefox doesn't look for them. You can try to read out their contents using this tool: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/res/scrounger.html
