I have created a filter to block several email messages that I keep getting - daily. The filter does NOT work, it does not block those emails. I run the filter, it does not work. I have the filter created on a few email addresses to put them in trash on that account. I continue to get several messages a day from these addresses.

How do I get the filter to run - or to block these emails so i can quit getting this junk in my inbox.

I have already unsubscribed several times.

thank you, toni

Try blocking them by setting a filter or blacklist through the webmail settings for the account.

If you create the same filter in Classic Search (Ctrl+Shift+F), does it find the messages? Simple filters that just work on the From header are seldom effective against junk mail.

How do I block them by setting a filter or blacklist through webmail settings?

I created a filter using the email addresses that are on the messages that I dont want - Unsubscribed to them but they ignored that.

So, i'm happy to try the webmail settings.

it seems my filters don't work at all. when I run them, nothing happens.

thank you

Most webmail interfaces have options to mark a message as spam or to block a sender.

Examine the message source (Ctrl+U) and you will often see that the sending address is not the same as the From: header, which makes a simple filter ineffective.

The ctrl+u gave me a text doc that was HUGE. I did not find a sending address to block.

Do you have any suggestions to help me further?

thank you for responding.

look at the TO: message header as well as the From: header. Are they what you think they should be?

Yes, they do, So what do I do to block them?

When I do a Classic Search (Ctrl+Shift+F) - on the From address - it does find them - however when I put them in the message filters it does not.
