I want to add an rss-url to my account, but when i click add, TB sais 'the feed-url is no valid url' (translate from Dutch). The feed-url does work in other rss-readers, only not in TB. I already have tried disabling Lightning and even changed the calendar.useragent.extra to blank. It does not help. It's freaking me out. Can anyone help me?

The url is: https://uitspraken.rechtspraak.nl/rss/?instantie=http%3A%2F%2Fstandaarden.overheid.nl%2Fowms%2Fterms%2FRechtbank_Zeeland-West-Brabant&instantietype=2

The link in your post does indeed show an error when added to TB, but the link on this page for Rechtbank Zeeland-West-Brabant does work. However, none of the feeds derived here seem to work.

Not being a Dutch speaker, I can't say if the working feeds provide the information you desire.

Thanks for looking after it. The two feeds are indeed different. And I need the feed that is derived at the generator-page. Those url's are working in other feed-readers, but not in TB. But I want it in TB.

Thunderbird expects an XML document at the link, not a redirect. So I do not think it will work

Meh, don't like that. Noone with a solution/workaround?

Same problem: https://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=https%3A//www.debian.org/News/news

Your link says the feed is valid, and it adds to TB with 6 articles. The Project News feed has 11 articles.

TB 68.2.2 says "feed format is invalid". I attached last messages I got from that rss

Here is check result

I can't read Russian, but I've attached a picture of what appears when I add the feed in TB 68.3.1. Clicking Validate takes me to the page from your first post, which state's it's a valid feed. If you get an error about invalid feed, it might be due to the Cyrillic characters.

The "https://www.debian.org/News/news" feed doesn't return any Cyrillic characters.

The message (on the form) says that "News feed format is invalid".

Can I find some logs with extended information to understand this issue? If yes, where?

Actually this feed is returning error for few last months. Before it have some problems with "&" characters. But now, there is no error, but the response still marked as invalid.

You can try Tools/Developer Tools/Error Console, but it often shows 'errors' when there's no apparent problem, as in this case where the feed content is delivered, yet you get an 'invalid' message.

Good idea.

As you can see (even without understanding russian) there is a parse error on line 86. But W3C validator still shows no error.

But there is another strange thing - Cyrillic characters. I don't see them in the rss content, but they are in the error report as a part of the feed response.

I attached sources of the feed in FF and Chromium. Definitely different results. And as I understand, feed sends to W3C validator EN version, and RU version to TB.

Now I understand, that RU version of the feed contains invalid data and that's not a TB bug. But, I think TB should validate data (or send to validation data - not the URL) got from feed, because feeds can send different content based on LANGUAGE/COUNTRY.
