why are deleted e-mails not showing up in trash?
My deleted e-mails are not showing up in trash.
When I delete a message it does not appear in trash but if I hit "undo" the message will reappear in the inbox. I checked my mail account settings and they look correct. I have a IMAP account. Any suggestions as to what is happening and how to correct it?

Make sure you have subscribed to see the imap mail account 'Trash' folder. It might be called 'Bin' or 'Trash' or 'Deleted Items' etc.
- Right click on imap mail account and select 'Subscribe'
- select the imap trash folder and click on 'Subscribe'
- click on OK
Now check the Account Settings.
- Right click on imap mail account and select 'Settings'
- Select 'Server Settings'
When I delete a message:
- Select: 'Move it to this folder' and select the imap server Trash folder on the imap mail account.
- click on 'OK'
when you select an email to read, it opens in the Message Pane. click on the 'Delete' button or 'Delete' key on keyboard. Or right click on email in Message List to see drop down list of options and select 'Delete Message'.
Thank you for you reply. Where do I find the imap mail account? I know that account setting are under tools but where do I find imap mail account? Sorry I am not more computer savvy.

I got it.
I have a POP server account and have this problem. Somehow this must have changed from the past when I could do this. Now I do not see anywhere that I can change my settings to retain deleted e-mails in Trash until I decide to empty Trash. The solution above does not apply to a POP server account.
