Why is Firefox asking me every 15 minutes to update when I just finished updating?

I am on a Macbook Pro and have installed Firefox to run as my default browser. I get update alerts - and have updated the browser to the latest version via those alerts. However, even though I have run the update, and restarted the browser (and even restarted the machine) I continue to get update alerts - every 15 minutes or so - even though the update version is THE SAME as what I supposedly just updated.

It is a bug, and needs to be stopped.

Note: you have firefox version 34. The latest version of Firefox is 36, which may be why it keeps asking you to download the update. I had this problem on my Mac Mini. I just deleted firefox and re-installed. Trash the older version of Firefox. Make sure not to select the "delete my personal data" option. If you don't select this option, Firefox will keep all your bookmarks etc. (personal data) even with the new install since they are saved elsewhere.

Have a great day!!

Jon

Agreed. Well done.

It is possible you have both Firefox 34.0 and 36.0.1 installed? and you are starting up Firefox 34.0 ?
