How do I update to the latest version of Firefox 4.1?
I have a Mac. I was asked to update Firefox from 33 to v4.1. I saved the file to my desktop and it was an .exe file. I have no apps that handle .exe files to update and that was the only option given.
Since I can't update Firefox to v4 from 33 on my Mac with an .exe file, what do I do? If I can't update, I'll start using Safari as my browser.

Hey there. Kirkad. Lemme ask you, did you check the ftp site to see if you can find a mac version of 4.1? Here's the link: https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/ You can also try 7-Zip to open the .exe file and extract them from there. http://www.7-zip.org/

I found out that it was a third party and NOT Mozilla wanting me to update Firefox ... possibly a spammer. I closed it out and deleted all without doing so. Thank you all for your help!
Firefox 4.0.1 (four.zero.one) is a big downgrade and not a upgrade as it came out back in June 2011. The 33.0 (thirty-three.zero) is the current Release.
Updates in Firefox are not done by way of .exe file even on Windows.
