In certificate manager, under Authorities, there appear to be MANY names that I have never heard of, but I evidently have certificates on file for them. Where do these come from and how do I get rid of them? Also, my Firefox constantly hangs and I have to start Task Manager, at which time it "unfreezes". In Help, Firefox hangs or crashes, Troubleshoot and diagnose Firefox problems, the listed solutions are only what to do for crashes. Mine does not crash, it only hangs, which is probably more irritating because my computer will not do anything until I use Ctrl-Alt-Delete to start Task Manager, and bring it out of the hang-up. Any suggestions?

That are the built-in root certificates.

Use "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.

Firefox does not hang when I exit, but when I am right in the middle of something, usually when I am trying to go to a different page of the website I am in. At that time my computer will not let me do anything in Firefox, and I have to start Task Manager with Ctrl-Alt-Delete to get it working again. I explained all this in my first question, if you read it.
